Many think World Pie has the best pizza in the Hamptons. It’s certainly the best the PizzaSnobo has had so far. The restaurant is one half dining room / bar combo, with the other half pure dining room. The atmosphere is bright and airy and is good for families, as well as shoppers and tourists who want to take a break.

Better to get a large pie ($20 for 18 inches) versus a small ($17 for 10 inches). Even if you’re not famished, it’s not much trouble for two people to polish off a large pie on their own. The best part of the pizza is the cheese. Not because it uses bufala di mozzarella from a farm two miles away – which it doesn’t. It’s because there’s more than one kind of cheese melted into the pie, namely parmesan, which gives the pizza a pungent kick. The crust at the edges is quite good as well, tasting a bit like sweet, croissant batter. On the down side, the rest of the crust is paper thin, soft, floppy and too soggy. There is also a lack of sauce, which is the weakest part of the pizza but also the easiest to rectify. For lovers of crunchy, saucy pizza, this probably won’t be for you.

World Pie is a big hit with kids. And the salads are also good.
