Posto is one of the popular restaurants on 14th Street in Washington, DC. Braised veal is the signature dish, but they’re also known for having good pizza.

All the pizzas use bufala and at $13 for the Margherita it is priced right. The cheese is probably the best part; milky smooth and sliced thin with a good amount of it used. There is also a decent amount of sauce applied, though it is very light and could use a bit of umph. The crust has a hint of sourdough and is of the floppy soggy variety, without any crunch. Good summer time pizza.

While the ingredients are quality, there seems to be something missing across the board. While this might be considered “DC – Very Good,” we’ll rank it as New York fine.

I love your term ‘dc-___” it is so true . The pizza here puts up a pathetic fight compared to nyc pizzas.
