Located in Silver Spring around the corner from the popular Jackie’s, Pacci’s is doing Neapolitan pizza right. Pacci’s is great for families, and it also draws a hip crowd for both dining and drinks by the bar. A large, comfortable outdoor seating area is also a bonus.
The Margherita pies ($11.50) are on the soggy side, but Pacci’s serves some of the best pizza in the DC Metro area. Both the bufala and regular mozzarella are excellent with a generous amount used. They also use just the just the right amount of sauce and the fresh San Marzano tomatoes come through. Other pies,
including a variety of white pizzas are also worth having.
Ingredients like smoked roasted pepper, spicy salami, imported sausages, andFriarielli (AKA broccoli rabe when you’re not in Naples), make Pacci’s a restaurant you need to come back to more than once.
