There are pizza places all over Paris, so if you are going to indulge, La Pizzetta is on of the places to do it.

La Pizzetta is a great place for families and one of our favorites in the city. The pies are reasonable (9,50€) and the wine is cheap. A five or seven minute walk from Monte Marte, a hugely touristy section of the city, La Pizzetta is definitely a local secret. Pleasant, smooth French lounge music plays while you eat sweet olives. The pies are not too cheesy – more like Positano as compared to Briciola – and the sauce is a good combination of tangy and sweet. The crust is thin but not crunchy (like most places), though a little less soggy. There is some limitation to the choices of toppings and the pizza can be a little oily, but La Pizzetta is a great neighborhood spot that also has outdoor seating.

The window of opportunity for eating pizza in Paris is limited. Most restaurants open around 12:00 or 12:30 and stay open through lunch, which can end as early as 2:00. Then they close until dinner, which starts at 7:00 or 7:30, depending on the place. We suggest you call ahead to make sure the restaurant is still in business or hasn’t moved locations.
