Rigoletto PizzaRigoletto is located next door to Magnolia Bakery on the Upper West Side. It has lots of indoor and outdoor seating since its expansion and reminds us a bit of Ikea with its pale wood furniture and colorful plastic lighting. The place always has a steady flow of customers and is filled with kids on the weekends. Rigoletto has two sister restaurants on Columbus Ave, Café Rhonda and Café Frida.

A slice here costs $2.75 although our takeout menu showsRigoletto Pizza Restaurant $3. The sauce is a bit sweet which is good for the kids but with a touch of oregano aftertaste. The cheese is fine, not greasy but not too flavorful either. The weakest link is the crust, which is thin but too bland. Also, the outer ring is too dry and leaves a grittiness on your hands.

Rigolleto provides three different self-serve bowls of salsa. We assume it’s there as a condiment to add on your pizza – not the best idea.
