Close to Union Square, Pie is a bit of a gimmick whereby you order your pizza by weight. Usually this results in paying more than you would otherwise. If the pizza was high quality it would be fine, but unfortunately Pie was a disappointment.

Slices are rectangular, but thin and chewy. We did a pretty good job estimating the size of the slice, but the total bill ended up coming to $3.70, about a dollar more than the NYC average. The sauce was probably the best part thanks to its fresh tomato flavor. There are specialty pies, including a Nuttella banana and strawberry dessert pie to compete with Max Brenner Chocolate up the street.

Pie is kid-friendly, with games and a TV playing in the back. That makes sense, because kids like new stuff and having toys combined with thin,  square slices is not your average pizza dining experience.
