Patzeria’s Perfect Pizza – New York, NY

It’s not as easy to find a good old fashion pizzeria in New York City as it used to be. With seating for about four, Patzeria is cramped, but we’ll take it every single day of the year compared to those deli-pizzeria combinations. Anyone in Times Square or the Theater district who is looking to have New York Style pizza should try out Patzeria.

A slice at Patzeria ($3) is for lovers of crispy pizza. The cheese is good, but not gourmet, and can be a little tough. There needed to be a little more sauce and they should play with the recipe. We could taste too much oregano and a whole lot of pepper. Patzeria also bakes the pie on a screen, which is a negative to some.

Perfect it’s not, but if this were 1980, Patzeria would be at the top of the list in most towns.
