Lorenzo & Sons – Philadelphia, PA

305 South Street
Philadelphia, PA 19147

Always crowded with lines often out the door, Lorenzo’s is on the heart of bustling South Street, on the stretch that most Philadelphians try to avoid.

Closer to the jumbo style Washington DC slices rather than the famous NY style, unfortunately Lorenzo & Son’s also tastes a lot like DC pizza – mediocre. One slice ($3.00) makes a meal. The cheese is thick and while not of especially high quality, it’s is the best part of the slice. We couldn’t even taste the sauce in order to comment on it. Disappointing overall.

For one of the most popular pizza stops in the city, we found Lorenzo & Sons remarkably average.
