LoPresti Pizzeria – Atlantic City, NJ

LoPresti is known not only as the best pizza place on the refurbished Atlantic City boardwalk, but it’s considered one of the best in all of AC. That’s unfortunate, since LoPresti is barely an average slice. There are plenty of tables inside, but the décor is even more drab than the food. Better to sit outside if it’s not too hot.

Slices are expensive at $3.50 each – the price of summertime fun – and you’re very much paying for LoPresti’s oceanfront location rather than any high quality ingredients. The crust is thin and dry and not very crispy, though overall the pizza has a fine texture. There is only a little sauce on the slice, which is okay in this case since it’s watered down and has a boring flavor anyway.

Taken as a whole, LoPresti isn’t a bad slice, but it’s also the best you’ll do if you don’t want to leave the beach.
