Jonuzi’s Pizza is a big classic pizzeria that is family run – something we don’t see enough of anymore. The restaurant is a block from the casinos. There are plenty of tables and on weekend nights, the people watching here is probably as good as on the boardwalk. They also have a location in Margate.

Slices at Jonuzi’s ($2.25) are a great deal considering their jumbo size. It’s not as big as a DC jumbo slice, but it’s big enough. Trouble is, the pizza doesn’t come together as anything we can recommend. The thinnish crust had trouble staying together and the low grade cheese had a congealed consistency that reminded us of Ben’s on MacDougal Street. The sauce was standard. Unfortunately, it all came together as a bit of a mushy product.

Other than the oversized portion, this was very standard pizza. But if it’s late at night and you’re drunk, better to be at Jonuzi’s than at the blackjack table.
