Duccini’s Pizza – Washington, DC

Most people consider the jumbo slices served in Washington DC to be an inferior choice in the larger realm of pizzadom, and they’d be right. Duccini’s, a hole in the wall on the border between Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan, is considered the best of the worst.

Duccini’s monstrous slabs equal two or three regular slices and shouldn’t be eaten unless you’re looking for some quick, cheap comfort food, or crave a late night meal after too many beers.

The pizza is not too greasy though the sauce is nothing to rave about, but for $4.50 a slice, you could do a lot worse. There’s plenty of cheese though it is not piled on quite as thick as some of the other jumbo slice places, which is a good thing.
