99 Cents Fresh Pizza – Multiple Locations, NYC

Multiple Locations, NYC

“It’s not bad.” You hear that a lot when people talk about the dollar pizza places. Not bad, but not very good either. PizzaSnobo has talked about the $1 spots in posts like 2 Bros and Gray’s Papaya. While we would love to find truly solid pizza for a buck, unfortunately the results have been disappointing so far and 99 Cents Fresh is no exception.

Small skimpy slices. A dollar doesn’t buy what it used to. The cheese is standard, but oily. The sauce is watery and the dough is bland. It’s far from the worst thing you’ve ever eaten, but there are other snacks out there that will make you happier. Have an apple, a plum, or a banana instead. You’ll even walk away with change in your pocket.

According to Google there are currently four 99 “Cents” Fresh locations in NYC. But there are two other spots that are spelled using the singular, 99 “Cent” Fresh. We don’t expect much from these places, but we’ll let you know if something changes.
