Multiple Locations

Earlier this week we reviewed the mini-chain Café Amore. Today’s we look at Fat Sal’s, which has four locations in Manhattan, including Chelsea, Midtown and the Upper East Side.

Slices ($2.50) are generously portioned, and that includes the add-ons. The crust has a good flavor and may be our favorite part. The cheese is also better than most slice spots, though the sauce was a little too sweet and pastey. Still, Fat Sal’s is a good local joint and worth having delivered if you’ve never tried it before.

It’s the kind of pizza that makes you remember why pizza is the planet’s favorite food.
